About Slam Dunk

Inoue Takehiko has written Slam Dunk from 1990 to 1996. It is the most famous sport comic book in the world. more than one hundred million books have been sold.
 It was wrote when NBA was very popular in japan. So many comic book writer challenged the basket ball comic book. but those attempts were all failed but Slam Dunk wasn't. It was the first successful comic book about basket ball and that comic book has made people be more interested in basket ball.

The story of Slam Dunk

Sakuraki Hanamichi(protagonist) fall in love with Haruko at the first site but it was one side love. He thought he has to a good man at the Haruko's point of view. at that Haruko said Hanamich that she love basket ball. So Sakuraki Hanamichi be the member of basket ball team. at the beginning he don't like basket ball. while he is learning basket ball skills, he like basket ball little by little. at the end of comic book he said to Haruko I really love... this time... it is true...

 Sakuraki Hanamichi:

 He is protagonist of Slam dunk. he was newbie in basket ball. He started basket ball when he was freshman of high school. So he was not good at basket ball but his body is very powerful and prompt. He learned basket ball quickly. His senior Akaki teached him how to rebound the ball and he became very good at rebound. after all, in spite of his poor basket ball skill except for rebound, He became the untouchable player. his position  is power forward.

 Akaki tatenori:

 He is the leader of Shohoku team. he is third grade. his position is center forward. he also novice at basket ball when he was fresh man. he always wanted Shohoku to win the championship but Shohoku was too weak to do that except for him. So he tried to teach team member. but the other members always think his method is very wrong. nobody wanted to win the championship sincerely. Many member treated him a mad person.

 Rukawa kaede:

 His position is small forward. He is very good at basket ball. He has a fan club. He don't like talk too much.

 Mitsui hisashi:

 He was MVP of middle school but he has an operation. After that he couldn't play temporally when he was fresh man. but he can't bear that situation. So he quit playing basket ball and became bully. He had acted like wanting to get rid of the basket ball team. but he really wanted to play basket ball sincerely. So he stared again basket ball he his position is shooting guard. he is really good at 3 point shoot


Etc...: Many people were interested about leaning basket ball from Slam dunk. In the Slam dunk the main character Sakuraki hanamichi learned basket ball from his team mates

 He learn running shoot, Dunk shoot, faking and so on. His team mates teach him and the other people can understand by his teaching. It is one of the most interesting part of Slam Dunk.
